Be Persistent

The law professor wrote back and gave me his home number; he is "looking forward to my call." I suppose I shouldn't be to surprised that he wrote back, but I am. All of the normal nervousness is setting in and I am wondering what the %^&&!# I am doing trying to go to law school. I will keep at it, though - I must! The other thing mentioned in the email was to be persistent, something I don't think I am often enough.

I exercised horrible judgment last night and went to the casino with my mother. We had a good time, but did not get home until almost 2am! Now, I am absolutely exhausted. After work, I have to go home and pack for a trip to Philadelphia (we leave early tomorrow morning), which means no rest in the near future. Plus, Paco is not going on this trip with me - it's just me and the kids! What was I thinking?

I think that's all I have, folks. I may check in again later with a crock pot recipe, as a friend of mine has been asking for some. If workflow allows, perhaps I will post one of them here.

See, this is why I didn't go to the casino that night with you guys. I knew that there was no way I'd have any control over when we got home and I had a long drive the next day. It's one thing when the hard-core insomniac in the family (I'm merely an amateur in that regard) finds somewhere to go in the wee hours, but it's another when the rest of us are put through the wringer, too!

Crock Pot recipe? I LOVE the Crock Pot. I think we discussed this at some point. Most of the dishes involve meat, but I've found a few good soup recipes, and I also have a vegetable/cheese casserole recipe I use that is SO GOOD. I'll have to email it to you. That said, I think my favorite slow-cook item would be hot mulled cider. I've always wanted to try hot mulled wine, though; how awesome would that be? But, of all people, you would probably already know how good it is.
