Princess and I made pear jam today with pears picked at the house of Paco's Godmother. It was a rather messy experience, but fun nonetheless. I am actually disappointed that we only have 6 containers, as I was hoping to have some for myself and some to give away at Christmas. I think we are going to get some more pears and make several more batches. Princess seemed to have a great time; TBell had started to help us, but decided that playing on the computer sounded like more fun.

Okay, that looks VERY yummy (and those containers are a nice touch). So....no pear jam when we come for lunch? So sad!
Listen, this is the perfect time to start posting recipes again! Slow-cookin' season is upon us. I am just waiting for those leaves to change color so I can make a big pot of hot mulled cider! Bring on the cloves and orange slices. Fall is the best season EVER.
I want crock pot recipes, dammit! Give 'em to me now!
She may not be your boss anymore, but she can angrily demand crock pot recipes like a late CT request.
Oh, Ashley. I'll always be her boss. Just like I'll always be your boss. Mwhahahhahaha!
I enjoy talking to you via Michele's blog comments, by the by.
Kim, I am hoping to make more pear jam and will certainly share it if I do.
Ashley and Colleen, I will do my best to post some new recipes.
Colleen, we fire you as our boss!
My mother had to can a whole bunch of tomatoes and peaches for a family friend last week. I don't think she has ever made pear jam--I will have to ask!
